When one speaks of the Emilia Romagna Region, one inevitably evokes the renowned Adriatic coast, the splendid art cities, the Romagna Region "piadina", the tortellini from Bologna, and much more. Maybe not everone knowns, however, that the Emilia Romagna Region is one of the Italian Regions with the highest number of spa's and wellness centres. As well as in Bologna, spa's are present in numerous other Regional cities. To name but a few: Castrocaro Terme, Cervia, Miramare, Riccione, Rimini, Riolo Terme, and Salsomaggiore Terme.

Bologna, the capital of the Region, Forlì, Cesena, Rimini, Reggio Emilia, Parma, Piacenza, Ferrara, and Ravenna: those who wish to visit the Art in Emilia Romagna, must necessarily put aside a few hours of their holidays for each of these splendid cities, each presenting its own singularity. From the lido's of Ravenna to the antique buildings in Ferrara, and finishing with one of the cities that is the most frequented by both Italian and foreign tourists thanks to the sea and the infinite possibilities it gives to just have fun: Rimini, renowned for being the centre of that teenage tourism that doesn't want to give up a single minute of the day or night. You can have fun until dawn in the disco's present: Cocoricò, Peter Pan, Byblos, Rock Island, and many others.

In Emilia Romagna fun is assured for the whole family: water and theme parks are dislocated throughout the Region: Aquafan in Riccione, the Delphinarium in Rimini, Mirabilandia in Ravenna, and Italia in Miniatura also in Rimini.

However, there are not only theme parks in Emilia Romagna, but also Nature Parks like the Parco Naturale delle Foreste Casentinesi, or the Regional Park of the Po Delta. Those who love nature will be able to practice water skiing, hiking, and participate in mountain hiking excursions on the Cusna and Cimone mountians, or one can go and discover what's in the grotto's in Onferno, as well as carry out all other sports.

Thanks to the quite flat territory, it is possible to visit most of the cities in this Region by bike. There are, in fact, numerous cycling tracks and, generally, the hotels in Emilia Romagna, as well as the farmhouses, hire bikes to tourists.
