Gatteo Mare
Gatteo Mare, a typical municipality in the Forlì-Cesena Province, has a population of approximately 7,000 inhabitants, and is situated in the most picturesque part of the Riviera Romagnola, at the mouth of Rubicone River. The local economy is mainly based on tourism and every year its lidi attract many tourists and visitors. Gatteo Mare boasts beautiful, golden, sandy beaches and unforgettable sea views: tranquillity and relax are two important key words. As a matter of fact, the town is the ideal place for those people who want to spend relaxing and peaceful holidays, away from the hustle and bustle of bigger seaside resorts. Of course, a regenerative holiday does not mean boredom. In fact, Gatteo Mare offers its visitors plenty to see and to do. Among the most important cultural events there is the peculiar Settimana della Micizia, where paintings and sculptures of cats are collected for the future Museum of the Cat.
