Campitello di Fassa
In the magical world of Fassa Valley, lies the village of Campitello, at a unique amphitheatre dominated by Col Rodella, a natural, suggestive balcony to enjoy the view of the Dolomites. The headquarters of the Fassa "Ciamorces”, the legendary alpine guides who boast great alpine deeds as well as numerous mountain rescues, Campitello is also known for its modern, comfortable and beautiful accommodation facilities as well as being the departure point for one of the largest cable railways in the Alps. During winter, there is a wide variety of skiing possibilities offered by the Col Rodella/Belvedere ski carousel. This ski area offers the most up-to-date facilities as well as the latest in artificial snow-making systems that guarantee ideal skiing conditions right from the start of the season. From here, it takes only a few minutes to reach the ski-lifts and slopes that run from Passo Sella to Val Gardena and the Sellaronda circuit. On the other hand, during summer it is the starting point for a myriad of walks and tours that lead to the Sassolungo range, the Sasso Piatto and the Sciliar plateau.
