Predazzo

Predazzo, a municipality of around 4,500 inhabitants in the province of Trento, lies in a central position between the Valleys of Fiemme and Travignola. The local economy is mainly based on tourism and on the handicraft of white marble. Other important activities are the wood and food industries. This picturesque town, divided into various rioni, is one of the well-known resorts for summer and winter holidays. During the summer, tourists can visit the Natural Park of Paneveggio, the ideal place where to spend a relaxing holiday, while in winter the skiing resorts of Rolle, Feudo-Latemar and Bellamente-Lusia provide well-equipped skiing facilities. Other important architectural and cultural sites in Predazzo are the famous Geological, Palaeontological and Mineralogical Museum, and the picturesque Piazza dei Santi Filippo e Giacomo. Among the folkloristic events there are the Giro dei 12 Mesi and the Fiera di San Martino. Tourists can choose among a wide selection of hotels, restaurants, inns and bed-and-breakfasts.
