Cavalese
Cavalese is a comune (municipality) in the autonomous province of Trento, the historical and administrative centre of Val di Fiemme, characterised by the presence of important churches and monuments. The Medieval Palace of the Magnifica Comunià in particular was built by the Prince-Bishops of Trento as the summer seat and residence for their vicars in Valle di Fiemme. Not to be missed: the Contemporary Art Centre - open all year - and the Pieve Park with an attractive green area full of century-old linden trees, which used to be the centre of the community life in the Valley. Cavalese is also a tourist resort full of life in winter due to the Cermis Alps ski-lift facilities, and highly appraised in summer due to its wonderful landscape and peaceful atmosphere.
