180 kilometres of costline, parks, natural reserves, spa's, art, grotto's - renowned is that of Frasassi: all this and much more is represented in the Marche Region, the Italian Region which offers numerous opportunities for any type of distraction for the whole family, and for all preferences.
Pesaro Urbino, Ancona, Loreto, Macerata, Ascoli Piceno, Gabicce Mare, Fano, Pesaro, Senigallia, Monte Conero: these are the locations from which one's visit can begin in the Marche Region; every destination is countersigned by its own particularity.
Amongst the seaside locations which are all characteristic and hospitable, and with various types of beaches: sandy or pebbled, one must mention: Sirolo, Numana, the Oasis in Portonovo, Porto Recanati, Civitanova Marche, San Benedetto del Tronto, Grottammare, and Porto Potenza Picena. For those who love summer holidays which guarantee enjoyment, the tourist will find hotels in the Marche Region which offer holiday packages that are ideal and really convenient.
Cross country skiing, skiing excursions, and mountaineering for those who prefer the Marche Region as the destination for their winter holidays. Pleasant weeks on the snow can be spent where the main protagonist of the holiday is surely sport!
Amongst the most frequented skiing locations are: Acquacanina, Bolognola, Castel S. Angelo sul Nera, Montecopiolo, Monte Piselli, Sarnano, and Ussita - Frontignano.
Strongholds are also present, castles and fortresses make the already spectacular landscape more precious like the scenery that is to be found in: Senigallia, Fiorenzuola, Casteldimezzo, Gradara, Corinaldo, Castiglioni, Avacelli, Offagna, Tolentino, Borgia, Aiello, Moresco, Acquaviva, Arquata, and many other locations.
After a day spent practising healthy sport, or visiting castles and monuments, there is nothing more relaxing than to wallow in the thermal waters of the numerous wellness centres present in many of the Marche Regions cities: Montegrimano, Carignano, Macerata Feltria, San Vittore, Tolentino, Sarnano, Acquasanta, and Torre di Palme.
For those who do not already know this fact, the real roast pork (porchetta) which is typical of the Lazio Region, was originally from the Marche Region.
As well as the porchetta, there are many other typical products from the Marche Region which are a joy for even the most demanding palate: arrosto alla ghiotta, ciarimbuli, fish soup, pan pepato, the pecorino cheese, and many other delicacies to be savoured.
