Gabicce
The seaside resort of Gabicce Mare is a beautiful town on a pretty hill, strategically located between the Marche and Romagna regions. Thanks to this distinctive feature, Gabicce has become along the years a sea resort renowned in Italy and also abroad. The town overlooks a small gulf called The Bay of Angels; the sea’s deep waters are loved mainly by anglers and now the sea is cleaner as the water quality has been upgraded by purifying plants. Actually, since 1987, the year of the first Blue Flag, Gabicce has been awarded this prestigious certification 13 times thanks to the features of its territory. The Tavollo River flows across the city, which separates Cattolica from Romagna. Extraordinary beautiful is Vallugola, Gabicce’s characteristic small harbour, with a capacity to house 150 ship.
