Rome is the capital of the Lazio Region and also the capital of Italy, and for this reason alone this Region deserves a visit.

Its small streets, the numerous churches, the Tevere river, the Colosseum, and another hundred reasons induce any tourist to visit Rome, caput mundi! However, the Lazio Region is not only Rome.

Furthermore, thanks to the presence of some renowned tourist ports like Fiumicino, the Roman river port, and Lido di Ostia or Civitavecchia, it is possible to dedicate holidays to nautical tourism.

Both during the summer and the winter, hiking or simple excursions regenerate the body and the mind, and from Rome one can easily reach the renowned skiing locations like Terminillo, Campo Staffi, or Campo Catino, Mounts Lucretili and Simbruini, and the Arcinazzo plateau.

Particularly renowned are the Roman Castles which are the destination of those tourists that are committed to food and wine routes: Frascati, Marino, Rocca di Papa from which, in only a few minutes one can reach the nearby lakes of Nemi and Castel Gandolfo.
