Eraclea

Eraclea, a municipality in the Veneto region with a population of around 12,500 inhabitants, derives its name from the homonymous Roman-Byzantine town whose remains were discovered in the surrounding area. The town develops in the geographical area comprised between the Piave and Livenza Rivers. The local economy is mainly based on tourism: Eraclea boasts one of the most wonderful coasts of Italy and offers a wide selection of accommodation facilities surrounded by fairy-tale landscapes characterized by a vast pinewood and a lagoon (Laguna del Mort).
