Capo Vaticano

Capo Vaticano, imposing seaside resort of the comune (municipality) of Ricadi, is a spellbinding destination for those who love particular geological features since the place is covered by special white-grey granite, which is studied by geologist worldwide. Capo Vaticano stands out from the surrounding towns due to the presence of tropical ferns as well as Quaternary marine sediments that are also a subject of studies. This place is also famous for the “Clipeus”, pyramid-shaped old sea urchins, now unluckily extinguished.
