Selva Di Val Gardena
Selva di Val Gardena is a municipality in the Bolzano Province set in the suggestive landscape of the Dolomites, in the Gardena Valley. The town has a population of 2,500 inhabitants and its economy is mainly based on tourism. Selva di Val Gardena, set in a natural basin surrounded by the Sassolungo, Sella and Odle mountains, offers to ski enthusiasts a picturesque mountain panorama and modern ski facilities: the area is one of the most important tourist resorts and is the annual meeting point for all winter sports. Every year in the town are held the Ski World Cup Championships with two important races, the downhill and Super G races. Every year, tourists from all over Italy are cramming its hotels and restaurants to take advantage of the modern ski facilities of the area among which there are the ski facilities of the Ciampinoi plateau.
